If you went to the last ERTS edition (Embedded Real Time Software and Systems) at Toulouse, by the end of January, you may have encountered Christophe Boudjennah and Samuel Rochet from Obeo. Indeed, ERTS is the place where embedded systems experts meet, whether they are academic, industrial, or tool providers…including us! Christophe and Samuel were there alongside with the other PolarSys consortium members (such as Airbus Group, French CEA, Ericsson and Thales). On the agenda, a talk by Pascal Roques about Capella, an Open Source Model Base System Engineering workbench developed by Thales. #erts2016 pic.twitter.com/EvFSjHPQZf — Pascal Roques (PRFC) (@pascalRoques) 29 Janvier 2016 As a logical consequence, this event gave prominence to the aeronautic, the aerospace, and automotive sectors. We will have to be patient until 2018 to attend the 9th edition of ERTS. But be sure that before that, we will talk about engineering systems! To be continued......

Last December 3rd, Obeo organized the 1st SiriusCon, a one-day free event dedicated to the Eclipse Sirius technology. Since its launch in 2013, the Eclipse Sirius has gathered an important (and enthusiastic) community excited by this Open Source technology that makes them possible, at last, to create the modeling tool of their needs. So, it was the perfect time to meet up! We wanted to hold an event to get together both beginner and advanced Sirius users, and anyone who is interested by the modeling technologies and by open-source. That’s how the SiriusCon project started. 133 registered, 9 speakers, 95% of the attendees satisfied...: SiriusCon 2015 was a great success! Thanks everyone for your energy and your continued support since the beginning of this adventure. Want to relive this special day? Have a look at these pictures and enjoy this video!     We are already looking forward SiriusCon 2016 with everything that has made it a success: advanced features ...

Etienne and Stephane recently noted that the 10th birthday is a strong symbol. Nowadays, we are opening a new chapter in Obeo’s story, especially with a new logo. Since 10 years, a collective adventure is being built. From France, to Canada, Germany.. in French, English, Romanian, and even ‘Quebecois’ (yes!)... we received nice messages from all over the world. That kind that make you carry on! Some of you wished us a happy birthday, during Obeo’s 10 years party. Other ones made it by video. Impossible to keep it only for us!     So, in order of appearance, thanks to the members of the French Ministry of Defense, ETAS (Bosch group), EDF, OP Coach, Xerox, Nantes municipal Council, Airbus, Crescendo Technologies, Standout Systems, Savoir-Faire Linux, Paranor, Schlumberger, the Eclipse Foundation, Oulu University, MMA (Covea Group), IncQuery Labs, the Cantine numérique, Obeo Montreal (yes we are everywhere!), to Eike Stepper, Starting France, C-S, and to the Mayor of Nan...

Etienne and myself want to take this opportunity to wish you our very best for 2016, and not because this is a New Year tradition but because we really, truly wish you a 2016, full of daring, creativity, success, and teamwork. We are convinced that 2016 is going to be a renaissance year. Since Obeo’s official launch on 23rd November 2005, so many of you as collaborators, partners, and clients have taken part in our journey. It has been a real honour and a daily commitment to have won your trust.  With collaboration as central to our ethos, Obeo is now a leader in open source modeling technologies that are being used worldwide. More than 50 of us currently belong to the Obeo family in Nantes, Paris, and Toulouse, and Obeo is now represented in Germany and Canada. The past ten years has also been about Obeo fulfilling collaborative stories such as with Thales, Ericsson, Airbus, the European Space Agency, the CNAV, the Pôle Emploi, EDF, the Ministry of Defense… On 20 January 2016...

As a provider of innovative modeling technologies to manage systems complexity, Obeo has been involved in each CSD&M edition since 2011. This year, the Obeo team comprised of Christophe Boudjennah, Samuel Rochet and Pierre-Laurent Dugré. Come and meet us at Obeo Booth at #CSDMPARIS2015 #Obeo_Corp pic.twitter.com/YYFPD0bDDI — Christophe Boudjenna (@cboudjennah) 23 Novembre 2015 Indeed, CSD&M is dedicated to innovative technologies and practices to design and manage complex industrial systems. It is the perfect place to discuss with experts and practitioners about Systems Engineering methodologies and tooling. At Obeo, we worked on those problematics with Thales Group. Out of this collaboration was born an innovative and revolution in the Systems Engineering field, named Capella.
